2016 NSW Global Scope Closing Ceremony

Congratulations to students who have graduated from the NSW Global Scope Project!

On Thursday 16 June, international students celebrated their graduation from the NSW Global Scope Work Integrated Learning Program at NSW Parliament House.

Global Scope

NSW Global Scope is a pilot project jointly delivered by StudyNSW and Sydney based education services and technology start-up, Intersective. It has offered a Work Integrated Learning experience to almost 200 international students across the NSW public sector.

The program involved matching teams of five students with business projects provided by government departments, facilitated through Intersective’s online ‘project learning’ platform Practera, which provides learning content, project management and collaboration functionality.

The Hon. Stuart Ayres, MP, Minister for Trade, Tourism & Major Events hosted a graduation ceremony for the 200 international students who delivered 6 week consultancy projects for NSW Government agencies.

The event included presentations from two international student teams who were judged as having delivered the best projects. Chair of the NSW Deputy Vice-Chancellors’ (International) Committee, Fiona Docherty, and NSW Police Commander and Spokesperson for International Student Safety, Det. Supt. Gavin Dengate, also spoke at the event and strongly endorsed the program.

This event was a great celebration of the students’ achievements in successfully delivering consultancy projects to address policy and business issues facing the NSW Government.

We would like to thank all who were involved in making this project such a success, and we congratulate all students who worked tirelessly over six weeks on their projects.
